Papa was a man of fine taste and he had great love for music and poetry. He was a man with hope and optimism. Nature was his first love. He surrounded himself with young people and children from very beginning. His love and understanding for children were so deep that he use to think lie a child naturally and has written many poems for them.

Papa was a lover of Shah Abdul Latif. He remembered almost entire Risalo of Shah Latif by heart. In the morning he used to sing Shah Latif, with the beat of tune with his hands on the book of Shah Latif. Our mother Nanki used to sing along with Papa. It used to be an experience listening to the sweet melodious voice in the early hours of the morning. His recordings of morning singing are available in our family.

15th June 2019 happens to be 103rd birthday of Hari Dilgir, our Papa. On this day children and grandchildren of Papa have decided to launch a website in honour of their beloved Papa. The idea started with her daughter Lata Gurnani and his son Laxman Daryani, and was materialized through Honey who is the daughter-in-law of Lata and is a professor of computer science. We are sure this unique web site will be a great asset for lovers of Sindhi language and Sindhi literature. The books and the material were collected from our family, Indian Institute Of Sindhology ,Adipur, Mr Kamal Nihalani, Papa’s followers and various sources of internet. We are thankful to all those who have helped us directly and indirectly for providing us the relevant resources. This website is a collection of his books, audios, pictures, videos and above all his memories.
